This statement has been compiled to help families with children, and those with disabilities to decide whether our accommodation is accessible to them.
The comfort and safety of all our guests is of paramount importance, so with this in mind we hope the following information will help you decide if our property is suited to your needs.
We have 10 en-suite rooms in total all with showers; these consist of 4 doubles, 2 twins, 2 singles, a family for 3 persons, and a family for 4 persons.
Crimdon Dene was built in the early 1900s and has a flat car park to the front of the building with parking for up to 8 cars.
The main reception door is accessed by one step 15 cm leading into the hallway where there are two ground floor bedrooms (1 family room to sleep four persons & 1 double room).
A further door leads to a staircase with 1 hand rail down 15 stairs to our lower ground floor dining room which is split level the lower dining area accessed by 3 further steps 15cms each.
The other door leading off the hallway and down 3 steps 15-18 cm each leads you into the bar lounge, where one door leads you to a porch with a small step 6cms then another door directly in front of it and down one small step 7cm leads you to the car park or down 2 steps 15-18cm each onto the foot path.
The other door leading from the bar leads to a hallway where there is situated a double room and a twin room, and a door to a second staircase with 2 hand rails leading down to the lower section of the dining room & breakfast bar, where each room is allocated its own individual table.
Both of these hallways also have a staircase leading up to the first floor with a corridor adjoining both sides of the building via 3 steps 16-22cms each, due to the age & design of the building there are various steps throughout.
On this floor are the remaining 6 bedrooms, (2 doubles, 2 singles, 1 twin & 1 family for 3 persons). We do not have a lift in the building.
Each guest is allocated 2 keys, a key to there own room & a key to the outer doors in the bar lounge leading out to the car park and foot path.
There is a bell in the bar lounge which you can ring should you need our assistance
The building is fitted with a new alarm system sounding a bell should there be a fire, if you have a hearing problem or a disability please advice us of this on your arrival, so necessary arrangements can be organised for your assistance.
Smoking is not allowed inside the premises
All fire exits are clearly identified
Subject to time required, lifts from the coach or train station may be available upon prior request.
